Soul Seed Gathering is a cross-disciplinary initiative that brings Herstory, Indigenous wisdom and nature intelligence to address contemporary world challenges, advocating for an alternative trajectory and deeper forms of change.
Our team is composed of a small but mighty group of women around the world.
We have :
11 years of researching and mapping deep feminine cultural history.
7 years of interviews, film recordings and learnings alongside Indigenous female elders, leaders and wisdom keepers from different earth-based cultures.
3 Gatherings so far working with female elders from the K’iche’ and Tzʼutujil of Guatemala, the Kogi and Wayuu of Colombia, the Q’ero Nation and Shipibo of Peru, the Hopi, Haudanashaunee & Mohawk of Turtle Island, otherwise known as USA, and the Bri Bri and Cabécar of Costa Rica.

2014
Founder, Hannah begins her journey into understanding the real roots of women’s history, while learning alongside First Nations women in Canada and traveling to the International Indigenous Gathering in Lillooet.

A year of research mapping women’s history and the research intersecting with present day indigenous cultures.

2016
Soul Seed Gathering is born on the Summer Solstice. The first research trip takes place in November to Guatemala, meeting with Maria a Tz’utujil fire ceremonialist who becomes Soul Seed’s first interview.

First traveling gathering of women is born and takes place in Guatemala. Chapter 1 Female Soul Weaving in Lago Atitlán. 49 women learning with the K’iche’ and Tz’utujil communities.

Learning with the Kogi and Wayuu in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Chapter 2 Heart of the Great Mother Gathering takes place with 33 women in Colombia.

2019
The Soul Seed House online library is built with the aim of creating the most comprehensive library of deep feminine and earth-based cultural knowledge. Pop-up events and screenings are shared in Costa Rica and London.

2021
The year-long Deep Feminine Soul Journey program begins. The team connects with Stibrawpa Bri Bri community in Costa Rica in April. The Chapter 3 Dreaming Us Back Together Gathering takes place with Bri Bri, Cabecar, Hopi, Shipibo & Haudenosaunee elders in October.

2022
First film in production. Recording the story of Bernarda and the Stibrawpa reclamation of their indigenous identity, spirituality, health, wealth and community. Soul Seed guides two journeys to Stibrawpa.

2023
The Living Research Program is born, and Soul Bloom Magazine launched. A new evolution of Soul Seed Gathering emerges as a Living Research and Future Design Institute.
Founder
Welsh grown and Costa Rica based, Hannah Ruth Dyson is a deep feminine and earth-based cultural researcher, Indigenous advocate, educational writer and speaker, healing guide, and initiated medicine keeper.
Hannah founded Soul Seed Gathering in 2016 during a year-long process of mapping women’s history across cultures and across time. Her work acts as a bridge to understanding our collective human story by bringing greater awareness to the female and Indigenous perspectives.

Hannah is honored to have worked with, and learnt from, elders from the Lillooet First Nations in Canada, K’iche’ and Tz’utujil Maya elders in Guatemala, Kogi and Wayuu women in Colombia, Shipibo lineage in Peru, Bri Bri and Cabecar peoples in Costa Rica.
Her research focus is with the Celtic-Anglo-European shamanic lineages, and making connections across cultures to ancestral women’s role in ceremony, ritual, weaving, dreamwork, plant medicine, and community leadership.
She received a Bachelor of Science at the London School of Economics in 2012 and has previous experience in international documentary research and film production.
Her work also offers solutions for earth-centered change from business actions, re-imagining new financial systems, activism, healing and community building.
She is initiated on the medicine path as a healer and ceremonialist, which also guides her research, documentary work and events at Soul Seed Gathering.
