A framework for understanding ourselves, the world around us, and knowledge itself
We are all researchers. It is human nature to seek knowledge and to assign meaning.
It is vital that we start to include more female, spirit-and-indigenous-led knowledge and experience, in our academic and educational frameworks to gain a greater understanding of ourselves and our world we are in.
Living Research is an embodied, sensorial and responsible approach to knowledge gathering.
It is a methodology, guide and compass to our work at Soul Seed Gathering where we engage with ancestral, Indigenous, and cultural knowledge as it engages with us also.
No knowledge remains dead to a page and separate from us but becomes a field we dance within.
Our Signature Living Research Program is an online, immersive container across 8 months that will shift your relationship with knowledge, and transform your approach to research and self-inquiry.
We have been given an approach to research that focuses solely on cognition and intellectual development, while ignoring our other senses, embodied understanding, and relationships with the more-than-human-world.
To live the research is to allow ourselves to become immersed in, and changed by, what we are learning – and to remain conscious and aware of that process as it’s happening. While we also build awareness and responsibility, as what we seek to understand will itself be changed by our observation and engagement with it.
This is for leaders, change-makers and creatives looking to engage with research, learning and ideas, with new and ancient innovative tools to do so.

We consistently embrace the transformative journey of research, learning, and experience, recognizing the profound impact it has on us, our work and the world.
In our interactions with various countries, places, and people, we consciously contribute with the intent to create postive change.
When we actively acknowledge our influence, take accountability and responsibility for how we engage, we unlock new dimensions of ourselves, our understanding of the places we explore and the subjects we encounter.
When we approach education with heightened awareness, deep listening, and attunement, we can prepare ourselves to receive and work with knowledge and wisdom in profound ways. Our traditional education systems often fall short in fostering authentic and reciprocal connections.
At each chapter of Soul Seed Gathering we've observed that true depth can be missed when distractions, surface-level thinking, or tourist expectations can interfere with significant the experiences held by wise elders.
The key lies in humbling ourselves, releasing expectations, and becoming highly attuned through all our senses. Knowledge, stories, and the richness of ancestral cultures cannot be demanded; they unfold when we surrender and open ourselves to a non-linear process.
Our approach to research and knowledge gathering acknowledges the subjective, relational, interconnected, and changeable nature of everything. We understand that we don't exist in a static, sterile world, and that we are all intricately connected to the subjects we seek to understand.

Our research spans time, space, cultures and wisdom traditions with an aim to bring the deep feminine and earth-based knowledge ways to historical significance and cultural relevance.
It is an exploration that invites us to heal the broken threads of our Indigenous ancestry, for a better sense of who we are, where we come from, and where we can go next.
We work with the following research themes in our Living Research Community:
Herstory
To fill the gaps in our understanding of who we are, where we have come from, to look at where we can go next. Herstorical wisdom roots us back into our power and awakens deep ancestral awareness.
Cultural exchange rooted in elder wisdom fosters a richer humanity, empathy and appreciation to overcome rigid divisions, judgements and righteousness that block deeper forms of change.
Learning with the communities and civilizations that have placed, and are placing, Mother Earth and Mothers at the center. We understand that there is a deep intelligence to this way of organizing that needs to be brought into our current dominant systems. We are not meant to raise children alone and it is logical to take care of the Earth as central to our way of living, because she feeds, sustains, and provides us with a home.
Indigenous ancient and future technologies are built with a system of intention, care, intelligence, rites of passage, wisdom and community governance built in to support the Whole. We are missing these key components for our Modern Technologies - many that have not been designed or cultivated to weave with our lives for greater balance and harmony, wisdom and intelligence.
Explore these research themes, with the opportunity to contribute with your own ancestral exploration and unique interaction with these topics, inside of our Ancient Future Library - the Soul Seed House.
